“Ride for Ray” was initially conceived as a way for people to help make up the 2,000 miles or so of the ride that I thought I would be unable to ride in the wake of the accident. I obviously underestimated the enthusiasm of people to help. Cyclists and non cyclists alike were soon logging massive amounts of miles. From babies I had helped deliver riding 0.1 miles to pros and newbies alike riding hundreds of miles. Friends and strangers from all over the world sent my pictures and videos which I made into montages each night and posted. We went from riding across the country to riding around the world to riding to the moon. But even now that the ride is done people are still donating miles. There is a site we’ve set up that you can log into and “Ride for Ray.” Just click on the link below to log your miles. 5 miles, 10 miles, 100 miles. Anything you are able to do will help the cause.

As long as people are riding and sending in videos I will keep making the montages. Just send a short video to firstname.lastname@example.org. If possible, can you tell me who you are and where you are from in the email. You can also post a picture of yourself out on a ride and then put it on Instagram with the hashtag #RideforRay. I will include as many of the videos as possible of the people out there “Riding for Ray.” It will have a totally epic soundtrack. I really look forward to hearing from you.
